Different genres rock Sugar Grove Corn Boil

Enjoy your favorite band at the annual Sugar Grove Corn Boil. Although the festival begins Thursday, July 23, the musical entertainment starts Friday. On Thursday, stop by the carnival and enjoy Genoa's Pizza & Italian Concession.

At 6 p.m. Friday, July 24, 7th Heaven, who has charted No. 1 on the Midwest Billboard Charts three times in the past three years, will perform. The band has been heard on more than seven radio stations in the Chicago area with their hits "Stoplight," "Better This Way" and "Sing."

Also known for the famous "30 Songs in 30 Minutes" medley of songs from the 1970s and '80s, the band has been an entertainment staple for 30 years. Visit www.7thheavenband.com.

They will be followed at 8 p.m. by the Ethan Bell Band, the hottest new country band in the Chicago area. Playing music from artists like Zac Brown Band, Eric Church and Florida Georgia Line, they bring the fun to every venue they play.

Led by the vocals of Ethan Bell, the band plays a variety of styles ranging from new to old country, to blues, reggae and party dance music. While the Ethan Bell Band is mainly a country band, members have a boundless repertoire of music. Visit www.ethanbellband.com.

At 9:30 p.m. Friday, Eric Von will entertain. Originally from the small fishing village of Cortez on the Gulf Coast of southwest Florida, Eric Von found his country roots. Singing since the age of 3 and playing guitar since he was 12, he began performing professionally by the age of 14. He has opened for some of country music's greats such as Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert and Aaron Tippin.

Von spent his time between Nashville and Florida living his passion of writing and playing his own lyrics and music of country music with island flair. Inn 2008, he was named the winner of Kenny Chesney's "Next Big Star." He regularly plays at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville at Universal Walk and Nashville's Broadway locations. At 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, Talk of the Town will get the crowd ready to get their dancing shoes on. Based in Sandwich, Talk of the Town will get you swinging with big, bold music from the big band swing era. Visit www.facebook.com/band.talkofthetown.

At 5 p.m. Saturday, July 25, Off the Charts, a six-piece band, plays rock, pop, country and classics. Off the Charts boasts a long set list of crowd-friendly music, often creating dance medleys that keep patrons moving. Visit offthechartsband.com.

At 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, Hi Infidelity will be onstage rocking the audience with 1980s music of REO Speedwagon, Bon Jovi and Boston, to name just a few. For six consecutive years the band was voted the Best Rock Cover Band; vocalist Dave Mikulskis was voted as Best Vocalist, and in 2010 Bobbi Scumaci was voted Best Keyboardist in Suburban NiteLife Magazine's Best of the Burbs contest. At noon Sunday, July 26, Graveyards to Gardens will entertain. G2G is a four-man group formed out of Judson University. Their name is taken from Isaiah 61.11 and reflects their love of leading others in worship and praise of God. Visit www.facebook.com/graveyardstogardens.

At 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 26, Citizen Way, a true band of brothers in the literal sense, will be on stage. This rock four-piece is comprised of two sets of siblings with strong ministry backgrounds. At 3 p.m. Sunday, July 26, Waves will perform. Waves is an up-and-coming Christian group of musicians who are anxious to showcase their talents.

At 4 p.m. Sunday, July 26, Sidewalk Prophets will entertain. The band, comprised of Ben McDonald (rhythm guitar), Cal Joslin (bass), Justin Nace (drums), David Frey, lead singer and Daniel "Big Dan" Macal (lead guitar) got its start by leading worship at its alma mater, Anderson University.
