Senior Star at Weber Place Hosts Legendary NFL Referee Jerry Markbreit
ROMEOVILLE, IL (July 16, 2015) - Senior Star at Weber Place is pleased to invite the public to a presentation by former National Football League referee and author Jerry Markbreit from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 at 605 South Edward Drive, Romeoville.
Regarded as one of the most popular NFL referees today, Markbreit has made tough calls on the field. He has refereed four Super Bowls, one Pro Bowl and multiple NFL games. Markbreit has also officiated some of the Big Ten's most memorable games, including the legendary Ohio State vs. Michigan games of the early 1970's.
Markbreit will share stories and experiences from his 43 years as an official, including 23 with the NFL. He will talk about some of the more colorful figures he has met along the way, as well as his involvement during renowned football games.
