Bring your appetite to Taste of Lincolnshire

Put on your chef's hat and head over to the annual Taste of Lincolnshire for cooking demonstrations and tasty cuisine from local restaurants.

The three-day event - Friday, July 24, through Sunday, July 26 - will be at Village Green Retail Center at the northeast corner of Olde Half Day Road and Milwaukee Avenue in Lincolnshire.

The weekend will kick off with "Food Truck Friday" at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24. Lunch will be served by food truck vendors such as Giordano's, La Cocinita and Mario's Cart.

The rest of the weekend will feature food from restaurants such as The Fresh Market, the Prairie House Restaurant, the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort, and more. Chefs from select restaurants will perform cooking demonstrations.

The festival's entertainment schedule will showcase a variety of local bands playing a range of music from rock to Latin dance. There will also be a special performance by Lincolnshire's Arthur Murray Dance Studio.

With live music in the background, families can participate in child-friendly activities such as touch-a-truck and face painting. Magicians performing magic tricks and balloon artists making balloon creations will also be present.

The festival will be open from 4-10 p.m. Friday, July 24; 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 25; and 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 26.
