Schaumburg library programs on Earhart, Williams

Amelia Earhart and Hank Williams will be the subjects of a pair of programs coming to the Schaumburg Township District Library this month.

"Amelia Earhart" will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 13, in the Rasmussen Room of the library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg. Leslie Goddard will give a living history portrayal of the first woman to fly across the Atlantic and attempt an around-the-world flight.

"The Music of Hank Williams" will be featured from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, in the Rasmussen North Room. Musician Steve Justman will present Williams' story with guitar and banjo. Learn why the music has become part of the American fabric.

Both programs are free, but require registration by calling (847) 923-3347 or visiting the library's information desk on the second floor.
