Lionel train operators' convention chugs through St. Charles

The Lionel Operating Train Society wrapped up its 36th annual convention Saturday at Pheasant Run in St. Charles with loads of dealers, kid- and adult-friendly layouts, and train rides for children.

The society is a national train club for operators of Lionel trains and accessories. The organization has about 2,000 active members around the world and moves the annual convention to different locales each year.

Pheasant Run hosted the 2015 convention from July 5-11.
