What $12 million would do for Detroit

Congress did it again, gave Obama a freer hand in trade talks. We need more free trade talks, remember the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1993 that was going to create jobs and now about 50 percent of Americans are on some sort of welfare. Now another free trade movement is in the works. Maybe before he is out of office, we can get to 75 percent.

Some congressmen argue that it will cost jobs, but the rest could hardly care, they are taken care of for the rest of their lives. On June 22, an article in the Herald was about Obama's pride and joy GM. GM and its China friends are going to spend $14 billion between 2014 and 2018 on five new factories and 60 new or refreshed models.

Just think of how many jobs will be created in China. Obama said he would create jobs and he is doing a great job, although not in America. Just think what that $12 billion would have done for Detroit.
