KemperSports to manage Bog Golf Course

NORTHBROOK - Kemper Sports today announced that it has been selected to manage The Bog Golf Course in Saukville, Wisconsin.

Built in 1995, The Bog jumped onto the national scene as it was immediately named to Golf Digest's Top 10 Best New Courses of the Year. The 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Design intimately routes through the dynamic terrain of the Cedarburg Bog that includes woods, wetlands, rolling hills and native wildlife.

Under new ownership as of July 1 by the Milwaukee-based Hammes family, KemperSports has been retained to leverage its expertise in golf, events, and weddings, providing unsurpassed customer service. KemperSports will bring fresh operational ideas, innovative marketing solutions and access to KemperCollection and KemperClub, two strategic initiatives available only to its managed portfolio of best in class golf courses and private clubs.

The golf course, which has hosted numerous USGA qualifying events and Wisconsin State Golf Association Championships, is considered by Golf Channel to be a top-5 Arnold Palmer-designed course that you can play.

In addition to award-winning golf, the club includes a full-service, 10,500-square-foot clubhouse with bar, restaurant and ample banquet space making it a top destination for outings and weddings. The 50-acre practice center was named a top-50 driving range by the Golf Ranges Association of America in 2012 and 2014.

"We believe The Bog is one of the highest quality courses in Southeastern Wisconsin," said Mike Hammes, Partner. "Through our partnership with KemperSports, we are confident that the facilities and course will be well cared for and maintained."

"We are appreciative of the opportunity to manage one of the most highly respected golf courses in a state that is quickly becoming a golf mecca," said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. "Working closely with the ownership group, our goal will be to bring fresh ideas to the table while continuing to define a great golf experience."

KemperSports now manages six courses in Wisconsin.
