Nuclear deal with Iran will keep America safe
We're days away from being part of one of the greatest chances for enduring peace in decades. Negotiators of the P5+1 and Iran are on the verge of a historic agreement that will strengthen American security, prevent the spread of nuclear weapons, and greatly diminish the chances of war with Iran.
Some in Congress say this is a bad idea, but most of America says differently. According to recent polling, this is a deal that the majority of Americans, Jewish Americans, and Iranian Americans support. Experts and the American people agree that these negotiations provide the best opportunity to prevent both a nuclear-armed Iran and a war.
For instance, a letter signed in April by over 30 nonproliferation experts stated that this deal "is a vitally important step forward."
We cannot let those who led us to war in Iraq to do the same again. It's time to give this deal, based on accountability and strict monitoring, a chance to advance a future free of nuclear threats.
This deal is essential for keeping America safe.
