Danks. Chicago White Sox blank Orioles

John Danks was not at all good over the first three months of the season, and the Chicago White Sox' veteran starting pitcher put much of the blame on himself earlier this week.

Not necessary, according to manager Robin Ventura.

"We're all in this," Ventura said. "Right now, just put your head down and play. Grind through it and don't look too far ahead. That's what's important right now."

Danks must have been listening.

In Friday night's start against the Orioles at U.S. Cellular Field, Danks pitched 7 shutout innings and the White Sox won 1-0.

Jose Abreu's solo home run (No. 14) in the third inning accounted for all the offense.
