Bartlett police say Elgin woman punched man, spit on cops

An Elgin woman was arrested Wednesday on a felony aggravated battery charge after Bartlett police say she punched a man who wouldn't give her money, then resisted arrest.

Glenneisha Williams, 24, of the 1600 block of Mark Avenue, was taken into custody just before 11 p.m. Wednesday at a gas station on the 5000 block of County Farm Road.

According to police, a male customer said Williams punched him in the face after he refused to give her money when he was getting fuel for his vehicle. Police say Williams then spit on a police officer and kicked several officers as they were trying to arrest her.

In addition to aggravated battery, Williams was charged with misdemeanor battery and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
