Pass-only tolls hurts the Huntley mall

No traffic at the Huntley mall? No pay toll machines at the exits is the reason. For more than two years, there was the terrible construction nuisance of the interchange, so people traveling from the west could get off at Route 47.

Now if you don't have a toll pass, not only can't you exit at Route 47, but neither can one coming from the east.

Those without passes used to come to the mall as there were no tolls collected at the Route 47 exit. Tolls are collected on Randall Road. Now they are told to pay again just six miles away.

No pass? You are being told to shop elsewhere as you can't get to the mall off Route 47. Stupid. Build it and they will come.

Why doesn't the Huntley board work on getting the toll machines installed. If people could get there easily, stores wouldn't be leaving and new businesses would want to be in the mall. Don't spend our money on a real estate consulting firm to look into getting rid of the mall. Get the toll machines installed.
