Enter Palatine library's Project Tomorrow: Art and Writing Contest

Do you ever imagine what the future will bring? Share your vision of what life will be like in 100 years. As part of the Summer Reading Program, "Read into the Future," the Palatine Library invites creative kids, teens, and adults to enter the Project Tomorrow Contest, beginning Wednesday, July 1.

There are two ways to participate: submit a visual arts entry (drawing, painting, or photography; maximum size: 16 x 20 inches); or, a typed writing entry (poetry, fewer than 50 lines; short fiction or essay, fewer than 2,000 words) with a completed entry form.

Professional judges will determine winners. All entries will be displayed on the first floor of the main library through Aug. 15. Winners will receive a time capsule kit, an award certificate, and be notified by Aug. 15.

This contest is open to valid Palatine Public Library District cardholders. One visual arts entry and one typed writing entry allowed per person.

Submit online, or bring your creative arts entry or typed written entry and a completed Entry Form (available at www.palatinelibrary.org) to the main library reader assistance desk by July 31.

For more contest details, please visit www.palatinelibrary.org/tomorrow or call (847) 358-5881 ext. 132.

The Palatine Public Library District is your destination for knowledge, entertainment, and community. The District serves approximately 90,000 residents predominantly within the communities of Palatine and Hoffman Estates.
