Capsized boats, model airplanes and steamed lobsters were part of events last week.

What's the connection between capsized boats, model airplanes and steamed lobsters? They were part of events last week in the suburbs around Chicago.

The wind wreaked havoc on the kids at Sail Camp at Lake Arlington on Monday due to the storms rolling through the Northwest suburbs. In total there were nine capsized vessels, numerous MOBs, which stands for man overboard, and one seagull pooping on one of the teams. In one such event, Captain Ethan Kakavetis, 12, of Arlington Heights jumped ship as his teammates John Castanoli, 12, of Arlington Heights and Kousei Tatsuno, 11, of Hoffman Estates, work to right the Sunfish sailboat. The event is held through the Arlington Heights Park District. Mark Welsh/mwelsh@dailyherald.com
