A 28-year-old Carpentersville man has been arrested and is facing criminal charges for robbing H&L Liquors while armed with a firearm Monday, officials said.
Toby Davidson, of the 0-100 block of Oxford Road, is being charged with armed robbery with a firearm and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, authorities said.
According to a news release, police responded to a reported armed robbery and arrived at the liquor store, located on the 100 block of Kennedy Drive, at about 10:35 a.m. Davidson fled from the store on foot with an unknown amount of money.
Nobody was injured as a result of the armed robbery, officials said.
Using witnesses and multiple video sources, Carpentersville police said, officers and detectives were able to locate and identify Davidson. Davidson was arrested at 1:40 p.m. near his home, at which time officials said they found physical evidence connecting him to the armed robbery.
