Cosplay comes to Mitsuwa Marketplace Sunday

There will be a free Cosplay Pre-Show Party from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Mitsuwa Marketplace, 100 E. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, to set the stage for Japan Day, which is Saturday and Sunday, July 18-19, at Arlington International Racecourse. The 33rd Annual Japan Day festival will coincide with the running of the Hanshin Cup Race and include three entertainment areas: J-Tradition, featuring martial arts, calligraphy, tea ceremony, taiko drumming, art performances, cultural exhibits and a special Kid's Corner; J-Taste, featuring Japanese cuisine; and J-Entertainment, which will include J-pop band Funkist and the Cosplay party.
