Chicago Cubs fall 4-0 to Dodgers

Starting pitcher Jon Lester lasted only 4 innings Thursday, giving up 4 runs, as the Chicago Cubs fell 4-0 to the Los Angeles Dodgers at Wrigley Field. Cubs rookie third baseman Kris Bryant left the game in the third inning because he was suffering from flu-like symptoms.

It was Lester's shortest outing of the season, and the Cubs wound up with a split in this four-game series as they head to St. Louis for the weekend.

The Dodgers scored twice in the first inning, when Lester threw 24 pitches. The big hit was a 2-run double by Howie Kendrick after Lester had given up a hit and 2 walks.

In the second, Kiké Hernandez hit an RBI triple, and Jimmy Rollings followed with a single to drive Hernandez home.
