Pageants kick off Mundelein Community Days celebration
Mundelein's annual pageants for girls and young women will be held Sunday at Mundelein High School, 1350 W. Hawley St. The event is the kickoff to the annual Mundelein Community Days celebration, which runs from Thursday, July 2 through Sunday, July 5. The pageant begins at 6:30 p.m. and will feature 34 girls and young women competing for Little Miss, Junior Miss and Miss Mundelein. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students, children under 12 and senior citizens. Children 4 or younger get in free. The winners will represent the village as they participate in many community activities during their reign, organizers said.
