Night life events: Go sleuthing at Martini Room's 'Mystery and a Martini'

Join the “Mystery and a Martini” dinner and drinks event at the Martini Room beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 28. It's four hours of mystery entertainment, a catered dinner, hors d'oeuvres and a specialty cocktail, all while solving a mystery. $50 per person or $90 per couple. Martini Room is at 161 E. Tokio's luau

Tokio Pub goes Hawaiian for its monthly beer dinner — luau-style. Hula dancers, ukuleles, marimbas and a whole roasted Kalua pig complement the evening, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 29. Eats include: tuna poke, lomilomi salad, roasted pig and coconut cake, paired with Banana Hammock, Ginger's Pear-Adise, Polynesian Punch and Coco Chino. $45 per person including tax and gratuity. In-Laws' Thursdays

In-Laws in Gurnee cooks up a hot dinner special on Thursdays — two for one chicken or steak fajitas for $16.50 — and cold drinks. Known as the home of the $1.50 Miller Lite drafts, other Thursday drink specials are $5 Long Islands, $3.50 import drafts, and $4 Fireball or Rumchata shots.
