Metropolis builds on Artists Lounge series

Performer-producer Michael Ingersoll and the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre have announced a new and expanded season of the 2015-16 Artists Lounge Live series in Arlington Heights.

The series showcases Broadway and Chicago-area theater veterans performing solo cabaret revues, often dedicated to famous singers. The lineup features:

• Karen Marie Richardson ("Sleep No More," "Queenie Pie") performing "Ella Fitzgerald: First Lady of Song" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6.

• Brandon Bennett ("Million Dollar Quartet" in Chicago) performing "Elvis My Way" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29.

• Stage and screen "Jersey Boys" star "Erich Bergen Live in Concert" at 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8.

• Angela Ingersoll in the style of a number of celebrities in "The Twelve Dames of Christmas" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10.

• Jenny Lee Stern ("Rocky," "Jersey Boys") performing "Patsy Cline: She's Got You" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31.

• Jason Watson ("Mamma Mia!") performing "From Vegas With Love" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4.

• Cabaret show "Colleen McHugh Sings Streisand" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 8.
