Grayslake to host picnic, fireworks

The 18th annual Grayslake Family Picnic and Fireworks will be from 4-10 p.m. Saturday, June 27, in Grayslake's Central Park. The event is presented by the Grayslake Community Park District, the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce and the village of Grayslake.

The festival will feature food vendors, business booths, children's rides, games and live music.

The Taste of Grayslake will offer food from local vendors during the festival, and Transformation the Band will perform from 6-9:30 p.m.

Children's rides and activities will be open from 4-9 p.m., including moonwalks, a giant slide, giant swings, the Dragon Track Train, a climbing wall, the Frog Hopper, an obstacle course, face painting, baggo and more. All rides close down at 9 p.m.

Fireworks will take place at dusk.

Central Park is at 250 Library Lane, Grayslake. Parking will be available at Grayslake Middle School and Central High School.
