CLC hires math professor as golf coach

A College of Lake County mathematics instructor will do some teaching on the links as well. Chris Wyniawskyj, a CLC math professor since 2012, has been hired as a part-time men's golf coach for the fall 2015 season. He'll continue his work as a math professor at the Grayslake-based college. Wyniawskyj received a bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University, where he played on the golf team for three years. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and taught algebra and calculus there for two years as he earned a master's in mathematics. "We are elated to welcome Chris to our coaching staff," said CLC Athletic Director Nic Scandrett. "The CLC men's golf program was a perennial power in the past, so it was very important to us to bring it back to prominence."
