Buffalo Grove commends Honor Flight

Buffalo Grove trustees have commended Lake County Honor Flight for its service to veterans, as well as the veterans who live in the village.

The inaugural Honor Flight took place in May of 2005. Since then, Honor Flight has flown more than 100,000 veterans from all over the country to Washington, D.C.

Lake County Honor Flight has honored the following Buffalo Grove veterans: Air Force Sgt. Mike Halperin, Army Sgt. Abe Kamikow, Army Cpl. Marvin Azriel, Army Sgt. Lou Ellison, Army Spc. Third Class Allan Hoffman, Army Pfc. Martin Rockwell, Cpl. Martin Saltzman and Army Pfc. Martin Rosman, as well as Group Leader Toni Colhoff and Guardian Bob Rutan.
