• Concert By The Lake: 7-10 p.m. Saturday, June 20. Enjoy a musical venue under the stars at Lakefront Park, 71 Nippersink Blvd. The public is invited for a night of music and dancing, with entertainment provided by The Hat Guys, a popular cover band that plays a diverse selection of modern and classic hits spanning several generations and multiple genres. This family-friendly event is free, and food and beverages will be available to purchase. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.

• Celebrate Fox Lake: Saturday, July 4. Start your Fourth of July off with a bang at 11 a.m. at the annual Fourth of July parade. After the parade, festivities will continue at the Lakefront Park Building, sponsored by the Village of Fox Lake. The purchase of a $10 wristband will include Euro Bungy, face painting, mechanical bull rides, a 70-foot obstacle course, games, and more until 8 p.m. The band Enough Said will perform from 7-9 p.m., and there will be food, a beer garden, and a vendor/craft show throughout the day. At dusk, Chain-O-Lakes Fireworks will bring back Fox Lake's fireworks show on the Northwest corner of Nippersink Lake, to be seen from land and water. To donate to the fireworks, visit keepthesparkalive.com.

• Movie By The Lake: Dusk, Saturday, July 18. A complimentary showing of Disney's "Big Hero 6." The family-friendly, "PG" rated movie runs for 108 minutes, which the entire family can enjoy with complimentary popcorn. Nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

• Venetian Night: 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. Catch a Venetian-style Boat Parade at 33 W. Grant Ave. Boats can be registered for $25 and have the chance to win prizes based on creativity, lighting, costuming, and decorations. Prizes are $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place.

The Boat Parade will be followed by an upbeat Street Dance Party located at the end of West Grand Avenue. There will be music in the street and a variety of food and beverages. Dress to impress according to the theme "A Zombie Apocalypse On The Chain." The night will come to a close at dusk with a grand Fireworks Finale at 33 W. Grand Ave. The Village of Fox Lake Parks and Recreation Department will offer free shuttle service for the event from three locations - Millennium Park, village hall and the Community Center - in 15-minute intervals, from 6-11 p.m. Additionally, parking at all of the Metra lots is complimentary. Venetian Night is an event for the whole family, though parental guidance is advised during the later hours.
