Beckham's blast lifts Chicago White Sox in 11th

Believe it or not, the Chicago White Sox are on a winning streak.

Gordon Beckham hit relief pitcher Alex Claudio's first pitch of the 11th inning over the left-field fence to lift the Sox to a 3-2 decision over the Texas Rangers Sunday, their second straight win.

The White Sox (30-38) have to keep building on the modest run if they hope to salvage a disappointing season, but they have to start somewhere.

The Sox took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning on Alexei Ramirez' run-scoring single and Conor Gillaspie's sacrifice fly before the Rangers' Leonys Martin led off the seventh with a solo home run off Jose Quintana to tie it.

Texas had runners on first and third with one out in the 10th, but White Sox reliever Zach Putnam got Mitch Moreland to ground into a double play.

The Sox turned another double play in the 11th to set up Beckham's heroics.
