I took this photo when my friends and I took advantage of Chicago's free museum admission day. We were about to enter the Adler Planetarium when this breathtaking view of the city caught my eye.

I took this photo In early May, when I visited Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL, to photograph the blooming crabapple trees. I spotted this Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly feeding on the blossoms, and had just enough time to capture a couple of images before he flew away.

My wife and I thought that the Wheaton Water Tower, on Manchester Rd. by the DuPage Co. Fairgrounds, was beginning to look like a "Space Ship" lately. I merged 3 images into one using High Dynamic Range software for effect. The day I took the photos it looked like it was " Ready For Lift Off "

This is a long exposure shot of the "Freak Out" ride at Carol Stream's summer carnival. The ride swung its patrons back and forth in a pendulum motion, creating colorful light streaks in the two-second long exposure photo. I positioned my camera and tripod setup at an angle in which I could capture the name of the ride in the photo.
