Corn maze wins national award

For the second year in a row, Richardson Adventure Farm's corn maze has been awarded "best design" by the North American Farm Direct Marketing Association (NAFDMA). NAFDMA members voted for the corn maze at their annual convention in Nashville, Tennessee, this past winter. "It's a real honor to be voted the best by our peers," said Wendy Richardson. Richardson's winning designs were the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles' first album, in 2013, and the 200th Anniversary of the Bombardment of Ft. McHenry, where Francis Scott Key wrote "The Star Spangled Banner", in 2014. The 2015 design will be unveiled when the corn is "knee-high," the family said. The maze is open from the last weekend in August through the last weekend in October. Richardson Adventure Farm is at 909 English Prairie Road near Spring Grove in McHenry County.
