Renishaw consolidating, moving to West Dundee
West Dundee's Oakview Corporate Park is continuing to grow.
Renishaw, Inc., a United Kingdom-based company that supplies products for measurement, motion control and 3-D printing, has purchased 11 acres in the park on Wesemann Drive at Route 72, said Tim Scott, the village's community development director.
Renishaw currently has locations at Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates, and those will be consolidated in the company's move to West Dundee, Scott said.
He added that the company is building a "specific facility to suit their needs," which will be 133,000 square feet and will include a corporate office, warehouse and manufacturing resource center. The site also has potential for a building expansion if necessary.
Mary Tures, Renishaw personnel manager, said in a statement that the new facility will allow the village to operate more efficiently and improve its customer reach.
The addition of Renishaw comes just weeks after the village announced that Oelheld, a Germany-based manufacturing company that produces machine oils and lubricants, will be taking over another lot at Oakview.
Village Manager Joe Cavallaro said earlier that the industrial companies filling Oakview's remaining lots give West Dundee economic diversification and potential for future growth.
