Geneva varsity football gives back to their community

The Geneva High School varsity football team is committed this year to volunteering and giving back as much as possible.

This past weekend, team members volunteered at the Northern Illinois Food Bank tent at the St. Charles Riverfest, helping them earn more than $850 for groceries.

Team members participating include: Lance Arni, Alec Avitia, Jack Bodine, Dylan Carroll, Alec Keating, Collin Lee, Nick Schmook, Joe Shanahan, Ryan Skibinski, Justin Soeldner, Tomas Springhetti and Luke Swanson.

Northern Illinois Food Bank is the source of nutritious food, innovative feeding programs and hope for more than 71,000 people each week in Boone, DuPage, DeKalb, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Will and Winnebago counties.
