The latest storm, flood watches and warnings for suburbs

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 9 p.m. for McHenry and Boone counties.

The National Weather Service has issued a small stream flood advisory until further notice for some of DuPage and Cook counties.

Minor flooding is a risk in: Chicago...Evanston...Skokie...Des Plaines...Elmhurst...Lombard... Park Ridge...Addison...Wilmette...Morton Grove...Villa Park... Franklin Park...Harwood Heights...Rosemont...Ohare Airport...York Center...Niles...Melrose Park...Bellwood and Bensenville.

The severe thunderstorm watch that was is in effect for the suburbs has been canceled.

AccuWeather is reporting that the risk of thunderstorms will persist through Wednesday with lots of humidity.

"Thunderstorms with the chance to bring damaging wind gusts and drenching showers will hit into Monday," Katy Galimberti wrote for AccuWeather. "Anyone with outdoor plans into early in the week may want to find an alternative location."

"Fans heading to Wrigley Field to catch the Cubs take on the Reds should be prepared for potential rain delays into early in the week," she wrote.

The front responsible for the storms will move south by Tuesday, bringing less warm and humid conditions, but then the humidity returns Wednesday, AccuWeather says.
