Volunteers to produce 750,000 life-saving meals at Union Station MobilePack in Chicago

Chicago area residents are invited to support one of the biggest events in the region for Christian global hunger charity Feed My Starving Children. On Aug. 10-13, more than 4,000 volunteers will gather at Union Station to pack 750,000 meals for starving children in the developing world.

"Our mission is to turn hunger into hope to improve the lives of malnourished children around the world," says Mark Crea, CEO of Feed My Starving Children. "We hope that we can inspire Chicago area residents to support the FMSC Union Station MobilePack through fundraising or sponsorship. In addition to packing 750,000 meals, our goal is to raise $250,000 to fund further meal packing."

The FMSC Union Station MobilePack event is one of hundreds of MobilePack events held across the U.S. to enable children and adults to pack FMSC's life-giving MannaPack meals. In 2014, churches, businesses, community groups and schools in 37 states hosted more than 230 food-packing events, packing nearly 63 million meals as a way to foster teamwork, unity and compassion, while personally impacting the problem of world hunger.
