Dundee concerts in the park feature music, fireworks
The Dundee Township Park District invites the community to the annual "Concerts in the Park" from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays, except June 26 and July 3. Visit www.dtpd.org.
On Friday, June 19, SODA will perform at Lions Park, 570 Penny Road in East Dundee. SODA captures the heart and soul of one of the most diverse playlists you will find anywhere. It is co-sponsored by the village of East Dundee
On Saturday, June 27, it will be the annual Concert & Fireworks from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Meadowdale Park and Shopping Center, Besinger Drive and Maple Avenue in Carpentersville. Country rock band Smoking Gunz will perform, followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The rainout date for the fireworks is Sunday, June 28 at approximately 9 p.m. The fireworks show may begin 30 minutes early or be delayed up to one hour due to inclement weather. Assistance with the event will be provided by the Village of Carpentersville Police, Fire and Public Works. Food and drinks will be sold by the Dundee Township Lions Club. All proceeds will benefit the community.
On July 10, Pirates Over 40 will perform at Grafelman Park, off Fourth and Main streets in West Dundee. This tropical rock band plays everything including Jimmy Buffett, Zac Brown, The Neville Brothers, Harry Belafonte and more. It is co-sponsored by the Village of West Dundee.
On July 17, Student Body will perform at Lions Park, 570 Penny Road in East Dundee. They play all your favorite high-energy hits that will leave you reminiscing about all your high school conquests. It is co-sponsored by the Village of East Dundee.
On July 24, Billy Elton will perform at Grafelman Park. Billy Elton transports you to the excitement of Billy Joel and Elton John. It is co-sponsored by the Village of West Dundee.
On July 31, the Gina Glocksen Band will perform at Lions Park in East Dundee. Glocksen is best known as the ninth place finalist of the sixth season of "American Idol." It is co-sponsored by the Village of East Dundee.
On Aug. 7, Mason Rivers will perform at Grafelman Park. The high-energy band covers the best of today's country as well as your favorite classics. It is co-sponsored by the Village of West Dundee.
