The sunrise this morning featured the sun in a perfect pinkish-orange glowing ball. While out walking, I suddenly noticed the sun but did not have my camera. I ran home and grabbed my camera and left to get photos. I took this photo by a retention pond area. I waited patiently for the crows to land in the tree to give it an eerie feeling. Angela Cichosz, from Carol Stream
I took this photo of the first peony to bloom in our yard this year. We like to think it's quite proud of itself. Heidi Gibbons of Geneva
I am always looking for different birds to photograph. I spotted this bird at Oakbrook's Graue Mill one day. After four days I finally got the shot I wanted of this beautiful Black Crowned Night Heron. His two white plumes going down the back of his blue feathers make him one of my favorite birds now. Todd A. Sherlock, from Downers Grove

This photo was taken at Bryce Canyon National Park two years ago. While viewing one of the colorful canyons in bright sun we could see the approaching storm. Ten minutes after this was taken we were in a hailstorm that covered the ground with ice balls. The hail was small and not damaging, but made for a good story. Milton Hoskins of Hampshire
I took this photo of this clematis which is currently in full bloom on the west side of my Elgin home. The rainy weather this spring has not dampened its cheerful disposition! Maria A. Crawford of Elgin
