ECC to host International Forum on Globalizing Technology Education June 22-24

Elgin Community College will host the second biannual International Forum on Globalizing Technology Education from Monday, June 22, to Wednesday, June 24.

The event is co-sponsored by Elgin Community College and Rongzhi College of Chongqing Technology and Business University in Chongqing, China.

All events will be held in Building E of the college's main campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

The opening speakers for the event will be ECC President David Sam, and Siva Yam, managing director of Siva Yam & Associates, LLC, a private consulting and investment banking boutique specializing in cross-border business and trade activities between the U.S. and Asia.

Serving as advisor to a number of venture funds and corporations, Yam is president of the United States of America-China Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting trade and investment activities between the U.S. and China.

Registration fee is $50, and includes access to all concurrent sessions and a continental breakfast and lunch on June 22-23; attendance at special events may require additional fees. To register, visit elgin.edu/internationalforum/register.

An optional cultural excursion to downtown Chicago will be held on Wednesday, June 24. Transportation and dinner are included. Prior registration is required. Please indicate intent to participate by selecting the cultural excursion option on the registration form.
