Elmhurst man killed in motorcycle crash

An Elmhurst man was killed after his motorcycle hit a wall on I-355 early Thursday morning, authorities said.

Michael T. Harris, 48, was driving his 2012 Harley Davidson south on I-355 at 2:04 a.m. when he lost control and struck the right concrete wall, authorities said.

The force of the crash forced Harris off the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at Edward Hospital in Naperville.

The one southbound lane of I-355 was closed for about four hours while the crash was investigated by the Illinois State Police, authorities said. The highway was reopened at about 6:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
