Little Sprouts head into nature in St. Charles

The Kane County Forest Preserve District offers several weeklong camps during the summer for kids of all ages. It wraps up its Little Sprouts Camp Friday at Creek Bend Nature Center in St. Charles. The camp introduced preschoolers to nature with short explorations into the nearby woods, games and stories. The kids learned about butterflies, wildflowers, trees and more.

During the five-day nature camps, kids join naturalists and explore the woods, prairies and creeks. In addition to hikes, there are nature games, crafts and other outdoor activities. Plus, kids will have plenty of time to explore the interactive exhibits inside the nature center located on the grounds of LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve on Dean Street.

For a list of upcoming camps or for more information, call the forest preserve district at (630) 444-3190 or send an email to programs@kaneforest.com.
