Recycle old electronics this weekend in Palatine

Old computers, iPods, printers and other electronics will be accepted at a free electronics recycling event Saturday hosted by Palatine Township and the Palatine Lions Club.

The event will provide a safe, environmentally friendly way to dispose of unwanted electronics, according to the township.

Other electronics that will be accepted are fax machines, cameras, digital video recorders, CD players, cables, some small kitchen appliances and TVs smaller than 27 inches. To see the full list of recyclable electronics, go to www.palatinetownship.com/electronicrecycling.

The event takes place in the township parking lot, 721 S. Quentin Road in Palatine, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Volunteers will be on hand to unload your car.
