Hear coworking trends at 'lunch-and-learn' event

GENEVA, ILL. - June 5, 2015 - Whether you're a co-worker or not, to many, the co-working movement has been an interesting trend to follow. Although it has steadily grown over the past five years, could it be a passing trend, or is it here to stay?

Mara Hauser, community founder and chief executive officer for 25N Coworking, will share insights into the present and future of co-working at a lunch-and-learn event on Thursday, June 11.

Hauser will cover what she learned while attending the Global Coworking Unconference Conference held in Berkeley, Calif., in May.

"All data points to co-working as continuing to grow," Hauser remarked. "In fact, after attending the conference, I came back with renewed excitement in making 25N a place that not only values its members, but provides valuable benefits to them.

"I'll be sharing co-working trends, as well as membership benefits we recently added."

The free event, which is open to the public, begins at noon at 25 N. Third St., Geneva. Those interested in attending either should bring their own lunch, or can order from the 25N Lunch Sidekick, Stockholm's restaurant.

Call 25N Coworking at (630) 409-1030 by 11 a.m. to place an order from selected Stockholm's menu items. All lunch orders are delivered to the venue.

This event joins three other events at 25N Coworking in June that are open to the public. June's public events are:

It happens every third Tuesday of the month, with the exception of July.

• "Free Friday - Coworking Trial" on Friday, June 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. when potential members can "try it before they buy it" and work free of charge. Free Fridays take place on the third Friday of each month.

• Geneva Coworking Meetup takes place on Thursday, June 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. Nobel House will host a cash bar. Learn more or sign up online at meetup.com/Geneva-Coworking-Meetup/events. The Coworking in Geneva Meetup takes place monthly, on the fourth Thursday.
