The Kane County Genealogical Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, in the first-floor meeting room of the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third St.

Lisa A. Alzo will present a live webinar from New York.

The topic is "Online Genealogy for the Absolute Beginner."

Alzo is a freelance writer, instructor, and internationally recognized lecturer, specializing in Slovak/Eastern European genealogical research, writing your family history, and using the Internet to trace female and immigrant ancestors. She is the author of nine books and hundreds of magazine articles.
