NARFE program June 9 to offer computer advice

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Greater Fox Valley Chapter 2181 meets at 1 p.m. the second Tuesday of the month at the American Legion Post, 820 N. Liberty St., Elgin.

At the chapter meeting on June 9, a special program on "Computer Awareness" will be offered by JPG Speedy Computer Service. Topics include introduction to computers, purchasing and program requirements. Bring your questions. If there is enough interest, it may be offered at the July 14 meeting.

Membership is open to civilian active federal employees, retirees and spouses who are eligible to receive an annuity or survivor's annuity from any agency of the U.S. government.

At all business meetings, there is an update on current legislation. Guests are welcome.

Lunch is available at the American Legion Post before the meeting. Coffee and dessert will be served after the meeting.
