'Come Out & Play' at North Aurora Community Parade

The sixth annual North Aurora Community Parade on Sunday, June 7, will offer fun, family events for everyone. The parade will step off at 3 p.m.

Hosted by the North Aurora Mothers Club and sponsored by the village of North Aurora, as well as several local organizations, the parade will showcase many local business and organizations with the parade theme, "Life Unplugged: Come Out & Play."

The parade begins at Blessed Sacrament Church on Oak Street, proceeds east on Oak, and ends at North Aurora Island Park on the riverfront.

After the parade, the North Aurora River District Alliance will sponsor a Duck Race and other family-friendly activities.

The parade will feature the baseball teams in the North Aurora Baseball Association, police and emergency vehicles, North Aurora Village officials, horses from Huntoon Stables, and people from area businesses, clubs, and community groups.

Parking will be limited along the riverfront, so shuttles will be available to the entire community. Shuttles will run from the beginning of the parade route to the end, with stops along the way.

"Parade participants and viewers alike can park near the Randall/Oak intersection, go to the riverfront, and know that they will have transportation back," says North Aurora Mothers Club member Becky Barr.

More information about the parade is available at www.northauroramothersclub.org.
