Vernon Hills 10, Harvard 2: In the Class 3A Antioch regional final, Vernon Hills got a complete-game victory from pitcher Andrew Smith, who rolled up 11 strikeouts. Joey Marras went 2-for-4 at the plate and scored 3 runs. Robby Nardini also scored 3 runs for the Cougars, who will face Grayslake Central on Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Grayslake Central sectional semifinal.

Grayslake Central 4, Richmond-Burton 3: Devin Moran drove in 2 of Grayslake Central's runs while pitcher Sam Ruhlman got the win in relief to give the Rams a Class 3A regional title in action at Woodstock North.

Ruhlman rolled up 7 strikeouts over 4⅔ innings. He also singled to lead off the sixth inning as Grayslake Central scored twice to finally overcome an earlier 3-0 deficit.

The Rams will face Vernon Hills at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Grayslake Central sectional semifinal.

Marian Central 10, Lakes 6: In the Fenton regional championship, Marian Central got past Lakes. Marian Central will now face Wauconda at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Grayslake Central sectional semifinal.
