Leno, 'Stomp,' Cetera to grace Paramount stage during 2015-2016 season

Aurora's historic Paramount Theatre on Monday announced it will welcome Jay Leno, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, The Second City, "Stomp," comedian Frank Caliendo and singer/songwriter Peter Cetera as part of its 2015-2016 season.

The announcement comes on the heels of the unveiling in March of Paramount's 2015-2016 Broadway series, which includes: "Oklahoma!" (Sept. 16-Oct. 18), "A Christmas Story - The Musical" (Nov. 25, 2015-Jan. 3, 2016), "Hairspray - The Broadway Musical" (Jan. 20-Feb. 21, 2016) and "West Side Story" (March 16-April 24, 2016).

The theater's 84th season launches Aug. 21 with the "Happy Together Tour" made up of classic rock artists The Grass Roots, The Association, Mark Lindsay from Paul Revere & the Raiders, Chicago's own The Buckinghams and others.

That's followed by former Chicago frontman Peter Cetera on Sept. 4 and the Duke Ellington Orchestra on Sept. 5. Other musical headliners include: the vocal ensemble Under the Streetlamp, made up of former "Jersey Boys" actors Michael Cunio, Michael Ingersoll, Christopher Kale Jones and Shonn Wiley, on Oct. 25. Peter Yarrow and Paul Stookey, the surviving members of the renowned folk trio Peter, Paul & Mary, play Nov. 8; they're followed by country music performer Josh Turner (Nov. 12) and Mannheim Steamroller (Nov. 14).

Comedians headlining the Paramount venue include Emmy Award-winning "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno with musical guest Emily West on Oct. 30, comedian and impersonator Frank Caliendo (Nov. 7) and comedian/ventriloquist Terry Fator (Nov. 13).

Ballet Folklorico Quetzalcoatl performs traditional Mexican music on Oct. 31. Jack Hanna brings his animal menagerie to the theater as part of "Jack Hanna's Into the Wild Live!" on Nov. 1, and the Second City remounts its popular revue "Holidazed and Confused" at the more intimate Copley Theatre Dec. 4-20. The percussive off-Broadway hit "Stomp" returns for three shows Feb. 26 and 27, 2016.

Current Paramount subscribers can purchase tickets beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, June 5, through June 18. Tickets, which start at $25, go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. June 26.
