Book Checkout Limits Boosted at the Library

NORTHBROOK, IL (May 27, 2015) - Effective immediately, patrons will now be permitted to check out up to 100 books at a time from the Northbrook Public Library.

Previously, patrons were able to check out 30 books at a time. In order to better accommodate the community, the Library's Board of Trustees voted to increase the book checkout limit at their May 21 meeting.

"The new book checkout limits will allow us to better serve our patrons," said circulation manager Barbara Doerries. "Allowing greater circulation means greater customer satisfaction."

Earlier in May, the Board of Trustees voted to eliminate the fee to borrow movies; the Library is confident that the new checkout limit for books is yet another positive change in circulation policy.

"Everyone will benefit from this change: teachers, homeschoolers, families, and anyone who really likes to read," said Doerries.

The Northbrook Public Library is located at 1201 Cedar Lane, Northbrook, IL 60062. For more information, please visit www.northbrook.info or call 847-272-6224.
