Cary Park District offers swim lesson open house

The Cary Park District will host a swim lesson open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at the Community Pool, 255 Briargate Road, Cary.

Parents and swimmers can learn about the park district's swim lesson program and meet the instructors. Children, teens and adults who are considering enrolling in the swim lesson program, also have the chance to take a swim test to better know which level he or she should register. Those who attend also will be entered into a raffle to receive free lessons.

The park district's swim lesson program is taught by certified American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program Water Safety instructors and lifeguards. Lessons are offered to infants as young as six months with a parent through adults in group, private and semiprivate settings. Lessons are offered throughout the summer on weekdays and weekends in the mornings and evenings.

For more information on the Swim Lesson Open House or the swim lesson program, call the Cary Park District at (847) 639-6100 or visit www.carypark.com.
