Waukegan man pleads not guilty to possession of child porn

A 34-year-old Waukegan man pleaded not guilty Thursday to child pornography charges.

Saint Alexander, of the 2000 block of Washington Street, faces up to seven years in prison if found guilty on any of the 10 counts of possession of child pornography he is charged with, authorities said. He remains held in Lake County jail on $150,000 bail.

Alexander was arrested April 29 after investigators armed with a search warrant entered his home and confiscated several electronic storage devices, authorities said. Those devices contained images and videos featuring children under the age of 13, authorities said.

At the time of his arrest, authorities said the collection of child pornography seized by police was "extensive."

A trial date has been set for June 29 in front of Judge James Booras. Alexander is due back in court June 3.
