Administer Justice to offer free seminar on Affordable Care Act

Administer Justice, a local nonprofit providing legal, financial, conflict resolution and educational services to low-income individuals, will hold a free seminar on "The Affordable Care Act: An Overview" on Thursday, June 4.

The seminar will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at the organization's main office, 1750 Grandstand Place, Elgin.

Topics covered in this one-hour presentation will include: Premium Tax Credit (PTC), Individual Shared Responsibility (ISR), minimum essential coverage, and PTC issues.

Attorney Judith Miller, Administer Justice legal services director, will be presenting.

The seminar is free and open to all, however, space is limited and you must RSVP in advance by emailing seminars@administerjustice.org or by calling (847) 844-1100.

Attorneys and paralegals will get one hour of CLE credit for attending this course. Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch.

Administer Justice, a faith-based nonprofit legal aid organization, provides civil legal assistance to thousands of low-income area residents. In addition to free legal assistance, Administer Justice also advocates for vulnerable individuals and families through financial counseling, conflict coaching and educational services. The organization served over 4,500 individuals in 2014 with the help of hundreds of volunteers.
