June 1: Play golf to help provide CLC student scholarships

The College of Lake County Foundation invites all golfers to the 2015 Golf Classic, honoring the late Richard J. Galla, on Monday, June 1 at Ivanhoe Golf Club, 28846 Thorngate Drive, Mundelein.

The event benefits the College of Lake County Foundation scholarships and grants fund.

In fiscal year 2014, the CLC Foundation connected 520 students to more promising futures with awards totaling $605,000. Golfers can help change the lives of CLC students while enjoying a fun day of golf.

This year's classic will begin with a continental breakfast and registration at 8 a.m., cart call at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Golfers have the opportunity to participate in contests and win cash and cars at hole-in-one contests.

At the conclusion of the 18 hole "scramble" tournament, the event will continue with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and raffles, followed by an awards dinner. Tickets are $350 per person for the full event or $60 for the reception and dinner only.

Major supporting sponsors of the Golf Classic are: R.J. Galla Insurance Company (Title Sponsor), Legat Architects (Club Sponsor), Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Dinner Sponsor), Versaprofiles (Breakfast and Lunch Sponsor), Path Construction (Golf Ball Launcher and Caddy Sponsor); and First Bank of Highland Park (19th Hole Reception and Flight Sponsor).
