Flowering plants sought

Fremont Township officials are seeking donations of native flowering plants for the Fremont Township Community Garden. Officials want to use the garden to support native pollinators that are an integral part of the food web. Native plants provide food and shelter for insects, while helping produce food. Anyone with extra native plants, such as echinacea, yellow coneflower, bergamot, boneset, blazing star, compass flower, little bluestem or prairie dropseed, is asked to consider sharing. Contact Alicia at adodd67@comcast.net to coordinate drop-off.
