Author appearances: MMA star Ronda Rousey stops at Anderson's in Naperville

• Robert Mueller, author of "Fields of War: Battle of Normandy," gives a presentation on World War II battles and D-Day and discusses his writings at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at the North Shore Senior Center, 161 Northfield Road, Northfield. The second part of the program continues at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the same location. The program includes slides with maps of battlefields and more. Audience members can join in a Q&A session with Mueller. Books will be available for purchase at the event. The program is open to seniors. Naper Blvd., Naperville. The event includes a cash bar. All books will be pre-signed. No autographs will be given. Irvine Welsh, author of "Trainspotting" will also be on hand to meet with guests. Games, prizes and a Q&A session are part of the evening. The event is sponsored by Anderson's Bookshops and Chicago Comics.
