Local Author Speaks on Books, Greek Heritage at Women's Gathering

On Wednesday, May 20, the women of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights enjoyed a salad luncheon and a program presented by Arlington Heights resident and author Paula Renee Burzawa, who gave readings from her novel, Seasons of Sun.

Burzawa also spoke of the ten summers she traveled to her mother's home, in Vassara, Greece. These trips to the tiny village in the hills of the Peloponnese peninsula deeply influenced the author, who is now working on her third novel to draw from her Greek heritage. Burzawa also credited The Writing Place at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library with helping to nurture her writing skills and confidence.

First Presbyterian Church is located at 302 N. Dunton Ave., Arlington Heights. To learn more about the women's group-Presbyterian Women, or the church, visit www.fpcah.org or call the church office at 847-255-5900.
